6th IUFRO International Conference on Forests and Water in a Changing Environment
Forests provide suites of ecosystem services that support and sustain human livelihoods. However, climate change and sustainable forestry development may alter the forest ecohydrological functions in a rather complex unprecedented way. Contemporary forest watershed management requires novel sciences. Forests must be managed with new policy and institutional arrangements (e.g. the Paris Climate Agreement, the Forest Landscape Restoration strategies) and innovations. This calls for improved monitoring modelling methods to support the decision-making process.
