WCPA – World Commission on Protected Areas (part of IUCN)
The World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) is IUCN’s global network of more than 3,200 experts from 140 countries. It provides strategic advice for policymakers, strengthens capacity for protected area planning and management, and helps advance global conservation targets such as protecting 30% of the planet by 2030. WCPA develops guidance, best practices, and technical standards to support effective and equitable protected and conserved areas worldwide.
