SUPERB

SUPERB was an EU‑funded Horizon 2020 project that created transformative, large‑scale solutions for forest and forest‑landscape restoration across Europe. Bringing together science and practice, SUPERB worked to restore biodiversity, ecosystem services, and carbon sequestration by showcasing best practices through 12 large‑scale demonstration sites. The project also developed a multilingual Forest Ecosystem Restoration Gateway – an online platform offering practical guidance, tools, and real‑world examples to support high‑quality forest restoration. Through its integrated approach, SUPERB helped advance Europe’s capacity to restore resilient forest ecosystems. The project concluded in November 2025.https://forest-restoration.eu/
