PathFinder

PathFinder is an EU‑funded Horizon Europe project that improves forest monitoring across Europe by combining field data and advanced remote‑sensing technologies. It develops high‑resolution maps and precise estimates of forest attributes, helping to generate consistent and reliable information on forest resources, carbon storage and biodiversity. By integrating monitoring with future forest‑scenario modelling, PathFinder supports better-informed decision‑making and policy development at regional, national and European levels, contributing to more sustainable forest management and climate‑mitigation strategies.
