ENFIN – European National Forest Inventory Network

ENFIN is a pan‑European network of organisations responsible for National Forest Inventories across Europe. Active for more than two decades, it brings together experts from over 30 countries to harmonise forest inventory data and improve the availability of reliable, comparable forest information at European level. Drawing on extensive field surveys and remote‑sensing data from over half a million monitoring plots, ENFIN supports forest‑related policymaking, strategic planning and the development of a European forest monitoring system. In 2024, this long‑standing collaboration was formalised through the establishment of the ENFIN Association in Brussels.
