BioValue

Dates: July 2022 to September 2025

BioValue was an EU‑funded Horizon Europe project that explored how spatial planning can better integrate biodiversity to transform land‑use decision‑making. By linking planning tools with environmental assessment and financing instruments, the project examined how to reverse biodiversity loss and strengthen multi‑level, multi‑sectoral governance. Working across three real‑world case studies in Germany, Portugal and Italy, BioValue tested new approaches to embed biodiversity as a core value in spatial policy. Its findings provide practical recommendations for more coherent, biodiversity‑positive planning systems. The project concluded in September 2025.
